In the face of rapid global change, many Scholarships alumni return to their home countries with world- class education, only to find that their knowledge and skills do not always align with the immediate needs of their local communities. This disconnect arises from the gap in the education system, which often fails to prepare alumni for the entrepreneurial and leadership demands of the 21st century. The AFELI proposes the Entrepreneurial, Leadership & Innovation Model (ELIM) to bridge this gap and equip alumni with the tools needed to create meaningful social and economic change. The ELIM Model emphasizes that to empower alumni to address local challenges and drive sustainable development, we must strengthen their educational foundation by fostering the right mindsets, self-discovery, skills, networks, resources, and entrepreneurial ecosystems. Through training, mentorship, and practical idea project development, we empower alumni to become purpose-driven entrepreneurs who create jobs, build scalable solutions, and lead sustainable development in their communities. Through this model, we foster a new generation of entrepreneurs who can create jobs, drive economic growth, and address the most pressing issues facing their communities. AFELI is part of a global movement advancing entrepreneurial leadership as a pathway to social transformation, placing alumni at the forefront of innovation, impact, and community transformation.
